ProtoMos - OMRI Listed - Yeast Cell Wall Extract

** Approved for Organic Use.

Protomos, or yeast cell wall, is a natural component derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae with numerous clear benefits in livestock animal health.  Protomos is primarily beta-glucan and mannan which have been demonstrated to increase immunity, block pathogens and bind potentially toxic substances.  All this translates into improved animal performance.

Beta-glucan has an established role in enhancing the strength of the immune system and preventing serious diseases.  In particular, beta-glucan can bind to surface receptors on immune cells thereby activating a sequence of events all targeted at enhancing immunity and defensive response to pathogens.  Mannan works to sequester harmful bacteria and potential toxic molecules.  Once bound, these harmful elements leave the animal through the feces preventing infection.

Together beta-glucan and mannan reduce mortality, lessen the need for antibiotics and eliminate toxic substances.   As a result there is improved rumen development and microbial growth, improved daily gain, increased dry matter intake and improved animal performance.
